Recently, the topic of "Tesla charging overtime fee ¥1600" has aroused heated discussion among netizens. A Tesla owner posted a bill showing that his charging and overtime fees totaled ¥1706.06, of which the charging fee was only ¥64.46, while the overtime fee was as high as ¥1641.6.
In response to this, Tesla customer service responded that there is no cap on the overtime occupancy fee, and no fee will be charged for moving the car within 5 minutes after charging is completed. Overtime occupancy fees will only be incurred when the number of vacant parking spaces in the supercharging station is less than or equal to 50%.One can't help but wonder: Is this an effective means to reasonably guide the use of charging resources, or does it bring unnecessary financial burden to car owners?
From the perspective of charging station operators, it is reasonable to set up an overtime charging system. With the surge in the number of new energy vehicles, charging parking spaces are becoming increasingly scarce, especially during peak hours. It has become a normal situation that it is difficult to find a parking space. The overtime charging system aims to use economic means to encourage car owners to move their cars in time after charging is completed, thereby increasing the parking space turnover rate of charging stations and meeting the charging needs of more car owners. This mechanism can alleviate the problem of charging queues to a certain extent and promote the effective use of resources. However, the overtime charges of thousands are really unacceptable to many car owners.
In fact, charging overtime fees is not unique to Tesla. Other brands of charging stations also charge overtime fees, but the upper limit is generally controlled at ¥50 to ¥100. Therefore, the key to resolving this dispute is that the charging station operator should find a balance between reasonably guiding resource utilization and protecting the rights and interests of car owners.
At present, the use of new energy vehicle charging piles shows the characteristics of imbalance in supply and demand and large fluctuations in usage time. In this regard, the charging of charging piles can be adjusted by referring to the peak and valley charging method of electricity prices, that is, during peak hours or when parking spaces are tight, the overtime charging standard can be appropriately increased to guide car owners to move their cars quickly; during low periods or when parking spaces are sufficient, the overtime fee can be appropriately reduced or cancelled. At the same time, the appointment charging system can be promoted and implemented, and car owners can make appointments for charging time in advance to ensure that they can charge directly when they arrive at the charging station, reducing waiting time and parking space occupancy time...
In the process of promoting the development of the new energy vehicle industry, society should not only pay attention to the quantity and quality of charging station construction, but also pay attention to the scientific and humanized operation and management of charging stations. Through reasonable guidance and high-quality services, we can jointly promote the sustainable and high-quality development of the new energy vehicle industry.
