01 Try to avoid charging immediately after high temperature exposure
After the vehicle has been exposed to high temperatures for a long time, the temperature of the power box will rise, causing the battery temperature to rise. In this case, if charging is performed immediately, it may accelerate the aging and damage of the circuits in the vehicle, which may cause fire problems.
In the summer, do not charge the vehicle immediately after using it. It is best to let the vehicle stand for a while to allow the power battery to fully dissipate heat before charging.
02 Be careful when charging during thunderstorms
When charging an electric car on a rainy day, if a lightning strike occurs, it is very likely to hit the charging line, which will generate huge current and voltage, causing damage to the battery or even greater losses.
When parking, try to choose a higher location. Check whether the charging gun has been soaked in rainwater, whether there is water or debris in the gun, and wipe the gun head clean before using it.
When pulling the gun from the charging pile, be careful to prevent rain from splashing into the gun head, and be sure to keep the gun muzzle facing down when moving with the gun. When the charging gun is inserted or pulled out of the car charging socket, it must be covered with rain gear to prevent rain from splashing into the charging gun and the car charging socket. After the charging process is completed, pull the charging gun out of the car body, and immediately cover both covers of the car body charging port when pulling out the gun.
But you don’t have to worry too much. In order to ensure the charging safety of users, we have taken various harsh environments into consideration and made safety protection in the process of product design and manufacturing.
03 When charging, do not do anything that will increase the internal charge load of the battery
For example, turn on the air conditioner in the car while charging.
If the pure electric vehicle uses the fast charging mode, it is best not to use the in-car electrical appliances at this time. Because the fast charging mode is achieved by increasing the current, and if the in-car electrical appliances are used at this time, it is likely to be damaged due to excessive current.
04 Try to choose a cool and ventilated place for charging
Long-term exposure to the sun outdoors in summer will cause the vehicle temperature to rise, which in turn causes the power battery temperature to rise. This is especially important for some pure electric vehicles that do not have a temperature management system. During the charging process, the battery itself will generate heat. If the heat dissipation is not good, the temperature will rise sharply, affecting the charging status.
High temperature will accelerate the aging of the lines in the car and bring potential dangers, so try to choose charging piles in underground parking lots or cool places to help extend the life of the power battery.
In addition to the above points, you should learn to charge and discharge reasonably and safely during daily charging, and avoid overcharging, over-discharging or undercharging.
