The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management announced that an average of 1,600 new public charging points are being added each month, bringing the country's charging point coverage to 83%, a 7% increase from 2024. To ensure greater transparency in charging prices, the Netherlands has established a working group to further standardize the pricing of fast-charging stations. To enable rapid charging for trucks, the Dutch Department of Transportation will invest €65.5 million to build power connection stations at highway rest areas. Additionally, the Netherlands is providing over €96 million in subsidies for the construction of charging infrastructure in the logistics and construction sectors. The Dutch government, businesses, grid operators, and research institutions are actively coordinating and collaborating to promote the development of a charging network.
